Stab Wounds Confirmed in Reiner Double Death

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Rob and Michele Reiner died from apparent stab wounds. The couple was found in their Los Angeles home on Sunday afternoon, sparking a major homicide investigation. A family member is currently being questioned by detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division.
The timeline of the tragedy began with a 3:30 p.m. call to the fire department. Responders arriving at the Brentwood home found the couple dead and immediately alerted the police. The upscale neighborhood, usually a haven of tranquility, was quickly filled with law enforcement vehicles.
Rob Reiner, 78, was a legend in the film industry. His work ranged from the comedy of This Is Spinal Tap to the drama of A Few Good Men. He was also a celebrated actor, known to millions as “Meathead” from All in the Family. Michele, 68, was a photographer and his wife of 35 years.
The investigation is sensitive, given the involvement of a family member. Police have not released the name of the person being questioned, nor have they suggested a motive. The focus remains on gathering evidence and establishing the facts of the case.
