Qatar Chamber recently convened a key investment roundtable in Berlin with a focus on enhancing trade and investment ties with Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. The event aimed to bolster cooperation between the private sectors of both nations. Attended by a delegation of Qatari business leaders and government representatives, the roundtable provided a platform for connecting with German companies and economic organizations to explore potential partnership opportunities.

Leading the Qatari delegation was Sheikha Tamader Al Thani, while German officials and representatives from the North Rhine-Westphalia business community participated in discussions. The talks centered on expanding collaboration across pivotal sectors, including advanced manufacturing, logistics, energy, sustainability, digital transformation, and technology. Efforts to increase investment flows and foster deeper business cooperation between Qatar and Germany were also key topics of discussion.

Throughout the event, participants showcased Qatar’s favorable investment environment, highlighting its financial services sector and robust logistics capabilities. Emphasis was placed on Qatar’s strategic position as a regional business and trade hub, which could provide significant opportunities for mutual economic growth. Representatives from investment and business institutions underscored the potential benefits of enhanced bilateral cooperation.

In addition to the roundtable discussions, the Qatari delegation visited facilities of prominent German companies, SAP and Siemens Energy. These visits allowed the participants to explore cutting-edge technologies and industrial innovations, offering insights into potential areas for future collaboration. The engagement with these companies further underscored the commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for shared economic advancement.

The initiative aligns with Qatar Chamber’s broader strategy to deepen international partnerships, attract foreign investments, and forge new avenues for cooperation. By facilitating such dialogues, the chamber aims to create opportunities that mutually benefit both Qatar and Germany, ultimately strengthening economic ties and fostering sustainable growth in both regions.
