AI-Powered Slides: Google Tool Turns Reports into Presentations

Date:

Google has launched a new AI-powered tool that can turn text-heavy reports into visually appealing presentations. This new feature, part of Gemini Canvas, reads and interprets your document, then automatically builds a complete, themed Google Slides deck.
This feature is a huge productivity boost. The AI handles all the initial formatting, generating titles, section breaks, and even sourcing relevant visuals. This allows users to bypass the most time-consuming parts of presentation creation.
This update is a clear sign of Google’s strategy to integrate Gemini more deeply into its apps. The AI is becoming a true partner, not just a writing tool, by automating complex tasks and saving users significant time.
The process is designed to be flexible. Once the AI creates the draft, users can export it to Google Slides for any final edits or collaboration, giving them full control over the end product.
The feature is already rolling out to users globally, including both personal Google accounts and Workspace customers. Early reports suggest Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers are seeing it first, with a wider release for all users coming soon.
