Hungary and Türkiye are advancing their military collaboration through discussions aimed at enhancing joint training initiatives and expanding cooperation in critical military fields. Delegations from the two nations recently convened to explore opportunities, particularly focusing on drone technology, technical support, chemical defense, and counter-improvised explosive device (IED) training.
During the meetings, the Turkish military delegation examined Hungary’s training systems, gaining insights into the operational capabilities of the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle at a central firing and training range. This visit provided an opportunity for Turkish officials to assess Hungary’s military infrastructure and capabilities.
The discussions also centered on the strategic integration of drones in modern military operations. Both countries expressed interest in developing joint training programs to bolster skills and proficiency among their personnel in utilizing drone technology effectively.
In addition to these strategic discussions, the Hungarian and Turkish delegations reviewed Turkish defense equipment currently deployed within the Hungarian armed forces. The exchange of operational experiences and insights highlighted the practical applications and performance of these systems.
